Kiara Lewis, 26, began to show her interest in cosmetics at a very young age. A “diva” among her family and friends, Ms. Lewis tends to always stand out and go above and beyond when it comes to casually slaying faces. Her initial goal was to teach young girls that it's OK to express themselves, whether it be their confidence or overall emotions, through makeup artistry. Since there is such a negative stereotype around girls and why they wear makeup, Ms. Lewis decided to advocate on their behalf and show the world that just because we wear makeup, does not mean we are not beautiful underneath it all. Thus she adopted the saying "Aspire to Inspire" to inspire others to have confidence in their creations no matter what the world may say.

In 2014, Ms. Lewis began to actually test the waters as a self-taught, Freelance Makeup Artist, going by the name "Krowned By Kiara." She hasn't put down a brush ever since. Since then, she has now re-branded to the the name "Vanity K. Makeup Artistry," or “Vanity K. MUA” for short. She came up with the name not because she considered herself as extremely gorgeous and always in a mirror (insert laughing emoji here), but because of the fact that every client that leaves her chair feels as if they were ready to strut their stuff and conquer the world with confidence. It also fits the theme of her brand and number one rule to booking with her: “Trust The Process.” When finished with her clients, the very last thing Ms. Lewis does is hand them a mirror or invite them to look into her VANITY and watch them glow with absolute adoration and confidence at her work. This is one of the main things that Ms. Lewis LOVES about being a Makeup Artist. The “K.” in Vanity K. Makeup Artistry simply stands for the initial of her first name.
